PIE 311Plus RTD Milliamp Calibrator

Overview PIE 311Plus RTD Milliamp Calibrator

The PIE 311Plus RTD Milliamp Calibrator is a powerful troubleshooting tool engineered to identify hidden problems in 4–20 mA loops that traditional calibrators often miss. Designed for use in the shop, plant, or field, the 311Plus allows technicians to calibrate directly in °C or °F, test RTD sensors, and diagnose loop issues caused by ground faults, moisture, or corrosion.

Unlike basic loop calibrators, the PIE 311Plus not only powers a 2-wire transmitter but also displays both total loop current and uncontrolled leakage current, making it an essential diagnostic instrument for maintenance and commissioning work.

Features and Performance

- Ground Leak Detection Technology
Instantly identifies uncontrolled current caused by ground faults, moisture ingress, or insulation breakdown.
- RTD Measurement & Temperature Calibration
Measure RTD sensors and calibrate directly in °C and °F without conversion.
- 4–20 mA Loop Diagnostics
Simultaneously powers the loop while displaying mA output, percent of span, and leakage current.
- Automatic Output Stepping
Enables fast zero, mid-point, and span calibration.
- 2-Wire Transmitter Powering
Supplies loop power while monitoring transmitter performance.
- Field-Ready Design
Compact, rugged, and easy to carry for plant and field troubleshooting.
- Universal Compatibility
Works with all standard process instruments using 4–20 mA signals.
